On January 31st, 2018 Peter passed away. Long time friend, business associate, & partner, I was blessed to have Peter in my life for many years. Honest, principled, & always ready to help anyone that asked without regard for any quid pro quo. He is now with our Father.

Peter Maslen is an international businessman with a global career spanning large multinational corporations in fast-moving consumer goods and retailing. He is the CEO of Knowledge Universe Education, one of the world’s largest for-profit education companies.
Prior to joining Knowledge Universe, he served as president of Starbucks Coffee International, where he led Starbucks’ growth outside the U.S. from its initial start-up phase to a highly successful and well-established business in over 30 countries. Prior to joining Starbucks, Maslen served as president of Tricon Global Restaurants (now YUM! Brands) in Europe, with responsibility for the development and growth of the Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell brands throughout Western and Central Europe and former Soviet block countries. He began his career in the food industry with Mars Incorporated, culminating as region director, Asia, from where he was recruited to PepsiCo.
Maslen is co-founder and chairman of The HMC Company in Seattle. He has served on the boards of several public and private companies in the US, Japan and other countries, and is the former chair of the Global Business Advisory Board at the University of Washington Business School and was a member of the Advisory Board of the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. A native of Australia, he grew up in the outback, studied in Perth, now lives in Seattle, and is married with three children.
